My name is Sonia Carter, and it has been the honor of my life to serve the city that raised me. As a lifelong El Centro resident and a proud member of our El Centro Elementary School District family, I have spent my life giving back to the community that has given so much to me.

Since you placed your trust in me in 2022, I have been privileged to serve on the El Centro City Council, including serving as Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem.
